Max Edward Walker
Max Edward Walker, 26, of Davenport, Iowa (formerly of Grand Island), died Wednesday - July 26, 2006 at Milwaukee, Wisoncin.
A Celebration of Max’s life will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday – August 2, 2006 at St. Mary’s Cathedral. The Reverend Richard Piontkowski will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-8 P.M. Tuesday at the All Faiths Funeral Home.
Max was born on October 22, 1979 at Grand Island, Nebraska the son of Jim and Kathie (Leonard) Walker.
Survivors include his parents, Jim and Kathie Walker of Grand Island; brother, Matt Walker of Omaha; the girl he would have spent the rest of his life with, Tiffany Wilson of Davenport, Iowa; grandparents, Jim and Darlene Walker of Grand Island and Jim and Betty Leonard of St. Paul.
Other survivors include many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Max grew up at Grand Island. He graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1998. He attended the University of Lincoln until he was deployed. He was an Army reservist and Iraq War veteran who served with the 308th Transportation Company based in Lincoln.
Max was a finance and economics major at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. He was a member of the VFW. He enjoyed golfing, music, but most of all, he enjoyed “life.” Max had great customer relation skills, which made him a great “people-person.”
Memorials are to be given in care of the family to be designated at a later date.
