"Pattye" Christensen
Patricia R. (Pattye) Christensen, 76, of Grand Island, died Saturday
January 27, 2007 at her home.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Gollaher Chapel of Trinity
United Methodist Church in Grand Island. The Reverend Jay Vetter will
officiate. Private burial will be at a later date in the Westlawn Memorial
Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at the All Faiths Funeral Home
in Grand Island.
Pattye was born March 26, 1930 at Harrisonville, Missouri the daughter
of Theodore and Bertha (Gillham) Vanosdall. She was raised and received
her education in Grand Island. She was united in marriage to Harold Christensen
on April 3, 1949. They lived in Grand Island until moving to Cheyenne
in 1975. She worked at Cheyenne Health Care until her retirement, and
then relocated back to Grand Island in 1993.
She is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, RSVP Program, and
enjoyed delivering meals on wheels and Wednesday lunch with the ladies.
She also enjoyed dancing and spending time with family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are her stepmother Helen Vanosdall
of Grand Island, sons and daughters-in-law, Daryl Christensen of Great
Falls, Montana, Ronald and Cathy Christensen of Grand Island, Larry Christensen
of Boise, Idaho, Gary and Lisa Christensen of Avondale, Arizona and Steve
Christensen of Boise, Idaho, a daughter and son-in-law Peggy and Butch
Tilton of Cheyenne, Wyoming, brothers Glenn and Wayne Vanosdall of Grand
Island and David Vanosdall of Hastings, NE and sisters Marie Lassen of
Lincoln, NE and Leah McKercher of Grand Island, grandchildren Toby and
Darcie Christensen, Brayden and Stacey Christensen, Alaina and Todd Verplank,
Logan Christensen, Blake and Trina Christensen, Stacy and Haley Christensen,
Bailie Tilton, and four great grandchildren and many near and dear friends
and extended family.
Her husband, parents and three brothers preceded her in death.
