Nola
J. Clark, 77, of Grand Island died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at St. Francis
Medical Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Resurrection Catholic Church.
The Revs. Michael McDermott and Harry Kurtenbach will officiate. Burial
will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church with a parish
rosary at 7. All Faiths Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Nola Clark was born April 24, 1930, to John and Catherine (Percifield)
Cowell.
Survivors of the immediate family include four daughters and sons-in-law,
Diana and David Davies of Windsor, Colo., Sue and Jim Hamilton of Grand
Island, Jan and Ken Simons of Cairo and Joan and Larry Failor of Loveland,
Colo.
Other survivors are grandchildren, Stephanie, Scott and his wife, Jen,
Lauren, Sarah, Christopher, Jake, Brittany, Taylor, Ken, C.J. and his
wife, Jill, and Kati; great-granddaughter, Kalli Sue; and soon to grace
the family, a great-grandson, Colton Joseph.
Her parents, sisters, Fay Baxter and Lucille Coon, granddaughters, Angel
and Maria and son-in-law, Kurt Schuyler preceded her in death.
Nola was raised and received her education in Omaha. She was united
in marriage to Charley Clark on July 26, 1947. They lived in Omaha from
1947-68, in Grand Island from 1968-75 and farmed near Cairo in 1975.
Nola took pride in raising her children. She worked for four years at
the Regency Retirement Center. She enjoyed embroidering, playing the
piano, singing and playing cards.
