Wanda Gosnell

Wanda Gosnell, 49, of Omaha, died Saturday May 5, 2007 at her home following a bout with cancer.

Wanda was born November 25, 1957 at Grand Island the daughter of Ronald and Geraldine (Holder) Rathjen. Wanda was raised and received her education in Grand Island and Hastings, graduating from Adams Central in the class of 1976.  She was united in marriage to Richard Gosnell on March 10, 1993 in Maui, Hawaii.  She worked at Great Plains Packaging in Hastings for 17 years.

She enjoyed decorating, traveling and most of all; she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the All Faiths Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Island.  The Reverend John Rathjen will officiate.  Cremation will take place following the services.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Richard, step children and their spouses, Tami and John Klimpel of Lincoln, Carrie and Brent Wilson of Lincoln, Kenneth Gosnell and his fiancé Carrie Kress of Des Moines, Maggie Gosnell of Des Moines and Katie Gosnell and her fiancé Nick Flury of Lincoln, her mother and step father Geraldine and Sam Harper of Joplin, MO and father and step mother Ronald and Charlene Rathjen of Grand Island, sisters and brother-in-law, Vickie and Pat Martin of Grand Island and Teri McMullen of Grand Island, brothers Craig Rathjen of Omaha and Ricky Rathjen of Talladega, Alabama, step sister Jessica Rathjen of Grand Island, step brother Henry Rathjen of Grand Island and grandchildren Jake Klimpel, Milena and Braiden Wilson and McKenna Hilton and her mother-in-law and dear friend Mary Krasula of Lincoln.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Hospital.
