M. Kieffer
Rita M. Kieffer, 78 of Grand Island, Nebraska,
died Saturday, September 29th at her home in Grand Island.
There will be no services; Mrs. Kieffer will have her
ashes buried with the ashes of her husband in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque, Iowa at a later date.
All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island, NE is in charge of arrangements.
Rita was born February 22, 1929 at Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of Henry and Kathryn (Clemens)
Maiers. She grew up at Dubuque, Iowa where
she graduated from high school in 1948. She married James Glen
Kieffer on April 2, 1959 at Dubuque, Iowa.
The couple moved to Grand
Island, Nebraska in 1971.
She enjoyed playing bingo, watching sports and mostly
enjoyed her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law,
Jeffrey and Deborah Kieffer of Lenexa, KS, Douglas and
Michelle Kieffer of Fishers, Indiana, and her grandchildren Matthew,
Olivia, Benjamin and Grace, and brother-in-law and his wife, LaVern
and Nadine Kieffer of Dubuque, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband who died on
February 14, 2003, parents, her sisters Louise Kane, Kay Burnett
and a brother Howard Maiers.
