Veneta
Kuhlman, 101, of Grand Island, Nebraska, formerly of Loudonville, Ohio, died
Tuesday April 24, 2007 at Park Place Nursing Center in Grand Island.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at All Faiths Funeral
Home in Grand Island.
The Reverend Robert Harms will officiate. Visitation
will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday.
Additional services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday-May
1, 2007 at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home in Loudonville, Ohio. Burial will be in the Loudonville Cemetery. Visitation will be one
hour before services. The Reverend Terry E. Ruther will officiate.
Mrs. Kuhlman was born September 2, 1905 at Loudonville
the daughter of Lozene and Hettie (Workman) Zimmerman.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Dave and
Marcia Kuhlman of Grand
Island.
Additional survivors are granddaughters Andrea and Alicia
Kuhlman.
She was raised and received her education in Loudonville
where she graduated from high school. She attended Kent State University receiving
her Teaching Certificate and received her Bachelor’s degree
from Eastern Michigan University.
She was united in marriage to Paul Kuhlman in 1928. Veneta
taught school in Ohio and Michigan.
She moved to Grand Island in 2001 to be close to her family. Veneta
was of the Lutheran faith.
Her husband, a son John and daughter Miriam preceded
her in death.
Memorials are suggested to the National Cystic Fibroses
Foundation in memory of Veneta’s daughter Miriam and a niece
Debbie Reynolds.
