Angela "Angie" Path
Johanna
Angela "Angie" Path, 69, of Grand Island died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at
her home.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic
Church. The Rev. Francis Curran will officiate. Burial will be in the
Grand Island Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with a Christian wake service
at 7, at the church. All Faiths Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Angie Path was born May 30, 1938, at Elba to John and Selma (Stefanowicz)
Radke.
Those also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Michael and
his wife, Rita, Van Winkle and Afton Gardner who was her Afton Doll,
great-grandchildren, Shelby Rae, Brandon Lee, Layne Michael and Dakota
William and many nieces and nephews.
She was raised in Elba, graduating Salutatorian from Elba High School.
She received scholarships to Norfolk College. Angie lived in Los Angeles
for a year before making Grand Island her home. She worked at Fonner
Park during racing season for five years. She sold Avon and worked at
New Holland, retiring after 24 years. Following retirement, she worked
part time at Walgreens and the YMCA.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament, the Altar Society, Saddle Club,
American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, did volunteer work at the United
Veterans Club and bingo nights. She belonged to the White Spot Motorcycle
Club, did league bowling, played volleyball, softball at the Platt- Duetsche
and loved every minute of being with all her friends, too many to count.
She enjoyed gardening and her yard work.
Survivors of the immediate family include two daughters and a son-in-law,
Christine VanWinkle and Sheryl and Monte Perkins, all of Grand Island;
five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Theresa and Lawrence Nabity of
St. Libory, Zeta Layher of Elba, Mae Ann Jeratowski of Madison, S.D.,
Berna and Charles Etjen of Parkersburg, Iowa, and Virginia and Gary Powers
of Aurora.
