Richard Lee "Dick" Price

Richard Lee “Dick” Price, 58, of Grand Island, died Sunday June 3, 2007 at Saint Francis Medical Center.

Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

 There will be no visitation.

Dick was born September 12, 1948 at Mt. Vernon, Ohio.  He is the son of Kenneth, Sr. and Ardella Price.  Dick received his education in Grand Island where he graduated from high school.  He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He was employed by the Grand Island Public School system for 13 years retiring in 1995 due to ill health.

He coached girl’s softball for many years, enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling and was an avid football fan.

Those left to cherish his memory are two daughters and their spouses, Crystal and Chris Johnson of Cairo, Jennifer and Ore Thompson of Grand Island, a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth, Jr. and Dina Price of Grand Island, a sister, Sheri Towey of Elba, special friend, Rose Bryson of Grand Island and 6 grandchildren and an aunt and uncle, Cereta and Wayne Filkin of Grand Island.

His parents preceded him in death.
