Kaci Renee Schmitt, 23, of Grand Island died unexpectedly Wed., Aug. 15, 2007.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Evangelical Free Church. The
Rev. Curtis Holzworth will officiate. Burial will be in Grand Island
City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at All Faiths Funeral Home.
Kaci was born May 15, 1984, at Grand Island to Peggy (Meininger) Klein and Howard Schmitt.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Riley.Survivors of the immediate family include her mother, Peggy Klein and father and stepmother, Howard and Karen Schmitt of Grand Island; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Jami and Jamie Barrientos and Tracy Schmitt, all of Grand Island.
Other survivors are a grandmother, Eileen Meininger of Grand Island; niece and nephews, Kamdyn, Tyler and Broxton Barrientos and Austin Schmitt-Saddler; and aunts and uncles, Kathy and Larry Kress of Plattsmouth and Jeffrey and Deb Meininger of Grand Island.
Kaci was a graduate of Wolbach High School, Class of 2002. She was currently a student at Central Community College in the LPN Program.
She enjoyed playing softball, going to car races, and spending time with friends and her nephews and niece.
She was also preceded in death by grandparents, Charles and Delores Schmitt and Edward "Bud" Meininger.
A memorial fund will be established in Kaci's name.
Kaci's funeral will
be a celebration of her life. Please come with pictures, stories and/or
memories of Kaci.
