Gary
P. Svajdlenka, 65, of Grand Island, died
Sunday November 4, 2007 at the Golden Living Center at
Lakeview.
Services
will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Private
family burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Ravenna.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at
All Faiths Funeral Home.
Gary was born February 20, 1942
at Milwaukee, Wisconsin the son of Frank and Violet (Mueller)
Svajdlenka. He grew up in Milwaukee graduating
from Custer High School. He
received two years of drafting school. Gary was
united in marriage to Susan Sell on June 14, 1980. They made their
home in Grand Island. He drove
truck for Sun Flower and HTL.
He enjoyed
fishing, game shows, cooking and watching cooking shows. He had a great sense of humor and was an avid
Green Bay Packer fan. When he lived in Wisconsin he farmed and raised quarter horses. While
driving truck he enjoyed listening to Cub’s Baseball.
Those
left to cherish his memory are his wife Susan, daughter and son-in-law,
Taren and Joe Baxter of Doniphan, sons and daughters-in-law, Kurt Svajdlenka,
Kent and Mary Svajdlenka of Grand Island and Paul and Tiffany Svajdlenka
of Leesburg, Virginia, brother James and his wife Barbara Svajdlenka
of Kent, Washington and twelve grandchildren.
His parents and an infant brother Johnny preceded him
in death.
