Anita L. Thesenvitz

Anita L. Thesenvitz, 85, of rural Wood River, died Wednesday July 11th at her home.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Grand Island Cemetery.

There will be no visitation. 

Mrs. Thesenvitz was born March 5, 1922 near Comstock, the daughter of Frank and Lola (Messersmith) Roach.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband “Bud” Elmer, son Charles Thesenvitz of Missouri and daughter Robyn Couch and her husband C. William Guckert III of Colorado, granddaughter Stacie L. Davis and her friend Ken Henry and Chopper, her grand dog that gave her many hours of comfort and relief. 

Her parents, three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

On November 14, 1943, Anita was united in marriage to “Bud” Elmer A. Thesenvitz.  They made their home on the family farm.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and good friend to many.

She was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and Platt Deutsche Ladies.

Anita’s family request that in her memory a rose be planted or memorials be made to the Central Nebraska Humane Society.
