Bobby LaVerne Trotter 68, of Grand Island died Monday February 12, 2007
at Beverly Health Care at Park Place..
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home. The Bishop
John Henderson will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Thursday at All Faiths Funeral Home.
Mr. Trotter was born July 17, 1938 in Broken Bow to Gary and Mary (Fricke)
Trotter.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Wilma, sons and daughter-in-law,
Gary and Rodney Trotter both of Grand Island, Leslie and Sherry Trotter
of St. Paul and daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Timothy Plummer
of Grand Island, a sister Hazel Furrow of Gothenburg and eight grandchildren,
two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He attended Broken Bow Public Schools and received his GED later in
Grand Island. Bobby married Wilma Linden on June 1, 1958 at the Assembly
of God Church in Broken Bow. Mr. Trotter was baptized at the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Island on March 6, 2004.
Bobby was employed by Broken Bow Ready Mix, and then moved to Tumwater,
Washington for a short time. They moved to Grand Island where he was
employed by Rainbow Bakery until he started driving a milk truck for
Fred Meier for several years. For nine years Mr. Trotter was employed
by the City of Grand Island, drove truck for Elkhorn Valley Co-op, and
then spent ten years employed by the State of Nebraska Department of
Roads.
His parents, three brothers Gerald, Herman and Floyd and five sisters,
Evelyn, Effie, Irene, Pauline and Jeanette preceded him in death.
