Gary L. Werner

Garry L. Werner, 68, of Grand Island, died Wednesday July 4, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday July 9, at the Grand Island City Cemetery.  The Reverend Scott Jones will officiate.

Visitation will be Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home.

Mr. Werner was born February 14, 1939, at Wymore, Nebraska, to Gerald and Bertha (Smith) Werner.  Garry was raised and attended school at Wymore He was united in marriage to Joyce Hayes on December 24, 1966 in Grand Island.  He was employed by Swift, Dreisbach’s and Monfort.  Garry enjoyed painting cars and fishing.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joyce; a son Dan Werner of Grand Island, daughter Tonya Dean of Lincoln, brother Max Werner of Beatrice, NE.,  four grandchildren, Jacob, Paden, Ian and Camden.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Arlo Werner and Jim Werner.
