Harold "Buzz" F. Williams

“Buzz” Harold F. Williams, 90, of Grand Island died Thursday, August 16, 2007 at Riverside Lodge.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Grand Island Cemetery.  The Reverend Daniel Bremer will officiate.

There will be no visitation.  All Faiths Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Williams was born July 26, 1917 at Trenton, NE the son of Joseph and Eva (Edwards) Williams. Buzz received his education in the Trenton area and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  He was united in marriage to Beatrice (Clegg) Johnston on January 29, 1957.  They lived in Tulsa, OK before moving to Grand Island in 1961. 

 He worked with his father for 30 years at Spinks Scale Company before moving to Grand Island where he was employed by the Grand Island Daily Independent where he retired from. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son and daughter-in-law; Jim and Bev Johnston of Grand Island, one brother, three grandchildren and a nephew Joe Skinner of Colorado.

He is a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Grand Island Amateur Radio Society.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
