Nadene Joyce Budde

Nadene Joyce Budde, 75, of rural Cairo died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, at Tiffany Square Center.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at All Faiths Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Island. The Rev. Glen Keylon will officiate. Burial will be at the Grand Island City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at All Faiths Funeral Home.

Nadene was born Oct. 12, 1932, at Grand Island, the daughter of John and Dora (Boltz) Peters.

She was raised and received her education in Grand Island, graduating from Grand Island Senior High, class of 1951.

Nadene was united in marriage to Eugene Budde on Dec. 8, 1951. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Grand Island and later in rural Cairo. She was employed by The Grand Island Independent, Wheelers, Sartor Hammann, she owned and operated Flowerama and was Floral Manager at Econofoods, and worked at Factory Card Outlet.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Cairo, the International Visitors Bureau and 1-R School Board. She loved jigsaw puzzles, spending time with her grandchildren, polka music, birds and angels.

Those left to cherish her memory are sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn and Sandy Budde of Phillips, Dennis and Kay Budde of Grand Island and Robby Budde of Marquette; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Mike Siwinski of Central City; and brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Betty Peters of Sun Lakes, Ariz., grandchildren, Dorie Budde and her husband, Jason King, Andrew Budde, Laura Budde, Ryan Budde, Shaun Budde, Danny Budde, Jacob Budde, Shelby Budde, Sydnie Budde, Wyatt Siwinski and Hannah Siwinski and great-grandson, Dante Budde-King.

Nadene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene Budde, on Nov. 12, 2007, and an infant brother, Dennis.

Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice or the family.
