Linda
A. Eilts, 62, of Grand Island died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at St. Francis
Medical Center of complications of kidney disease and diabetes.
Services
will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Cremation will take
place following the service.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Eilts was born March 1, 1945, at Grand Island, the daughter of John
and Ruby (Schutt) Ellis.
Survivors include her husband, Jim; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brooke
and Donna Eilts and Brendan and Angie Eilts, all of Grand Island; two daughters
and sons-in-law, Justine and Doug Guzinski and Ansara and J.J. McDaniel,
all of Grand Island; a brother, John Ellis; and four sisters and one brother-in-law,
Marilyn Lif, Beverly and LaMoyne Darnall, LaVonne Hansen and Karen Alcorn.
Those also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Bethany, Brittney, Heaven
and Hazzard.
Linda was raised and received her education in Grand Island, graduating from
Grand Island Senior High, class of 1963. She attended Kearney State and Grand
Island Business College.
She was united in marriage to James Eilts on Feb. 14, 1965. They lived in Grand
Island, where they owned and operated S&E Precision Motors. She then worked
at the Grand Island Independent and later owned and operated Starlite Chassis.
She loved cross stitch, reading, trivia, bingo, ceramics, game shows, stock car
races, crocheting and enjoyed attending the Grand Generation Center and Adult
Daycare. She had a great love for her animals and spending time with her family.
Her parents and a brother, Wayne, preceded her in death.
A memorial fund will be established to help with animal care.
