PAUL, Alvesa M. 'Chris' Hamilton, 73, of St. Paul died Tuesday, Feb. 26,
2008, at home.
Services
will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island.
The Rev. Kenneth Christensen will officiate. Cremation will take
place following the service.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hamilton was born April 8, 1934, at La Grulla, Texas, to Reynaldo and Maria
(Tijerina) Rodriguez.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gordon.
Survivors of the immediate family include her husband, Kenneth; four sons and
two daughters-in-law, Jim and Sue Hamilton of Grand Island, Kenny Jr. and Joyce
Hamilton of Glenville, Terry Hamilton and Craig Hamilton, both of St. Paul; a
daughter, Marcia Hamilton of St. Paul, Minn.; a brother, Roy Rodriguez of Red
Bluff, Calif.; and a sister, Irma Rodriguez of Edenburg, Texas.
Other survivors are grandchildren, Sarah, Christopher, Jacob, Taylor, Brittany,
Sandra, Terry Jr., Sasha, Raquel, Lillian, Desma, Cody, Tim, Elijah, Nicole and
Ciera, and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by granddaughters, Angel and Maria; a brother,
Robert Rodriguez; and a sister, Vi Solis.
Alvesa was raised and received her education in Mission, Texas. She married Kenneth
Hamilton on April 19, 1958, at Mission. They made their home in Elba, moving
to St. Paul in 1965. She was an EMT in St. Paul. She worked at the Liederkranz,
Chief Industries and was a clerk at Kellers Korner.
She enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, was an avid Husker fan, and loved bingo.
Most of all, she enjoyed her family and caring for her grandchildren.
