Patrick and Cecelia Moran of Grand Island; and daughter and son-in-law,
Lori and Larry Peavey of Atlanta.

Lee was raised by her aunt and uncle in Oklahoma following the passing of her
mother when she was an infant. She graduated from high school and attended Oklahoma
University, majoring in English and journalism. After college, Lee took a job
in Wiesbaden, Germany, following WWII, working in a hospital as a secretary.
While in Germany, Lee met her husband, Walter Moran, who was stationed as a pilot
in the Air Force. When they returned to the states the couple married. Lee lived
a very exciting life as the wife of an Air Force pilot. They lived in many interesting
places, and Lee even learned to fly a plane that she and her husband owned. Lee
worked as a civil servant during the time her husband was in the Air Force. She
worked as a court reporter and surgical assistant, among many other things.
In 1953 they had a son. The family moved to Sacramento, Calif. In 1964, they
were the first Americans to adopt a Philippine child. Lee and Walter were married
for 48 years when Walter passed away. Later she married Jim Kramer. The couple
made their home and retired in Oklahoma, where Mr. Kramer passed away.
