Brian L. Nearhood

Brian L. Nearhood, 52, of Grand Island died Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center following a seven-month battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at All Faiths Funeral Home Chapel. Dan Naranjo will officiate.

Mr. Nearhood was born July 8, 1956, at Grand Island to Dean and Imogene (Pracht) Nearhood.

Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Grace; his mother of Grand Island; a brother and sister-in-law, Neal and Sherry Nearhood of Chapman; a sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Jerry Studnicka of Loup City; and a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Tina Krueger of Cartwright, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Brian graduated from Grand Island Senior High, class of 1974. He was united in marriage to Grace (Larkin) Krueger on May 16, 1990, at Grand Island. He was a truck driver for over 30 years and drove for Sunrise Express.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and most of all, enjoyed being there for others.
