Geraldene L. Springsguth

Geraldene L. Springsguth, 90, of Grand Island, died Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Grand Island Nebraska Veterans Home.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Grand Island City Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.  Mrs. Springsguth was cremated.  All Faiths Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Gerry was born March 22, 1917 at Phillips, Nebraska the daughter of Fred and Anna (Barr) Weiler.  She was raised on a farm in Kansas where she graduated from high school.  She moved to Grand Island where she was united in marriage to Wilbur Springsguth in 1938.  She worked for the family owned White House Café.  She is member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Her husband Wilbur preceded her in death in 1977.

Those left to cherish her memory are, a son Howard Springsguth of Grand Island, daughter and son-in-law, Cecelia and Richard Harrington of Denver, CO, brother Bob Weiler of Kelso, WA and sisters, Irma Knepof of Gresham, OR, Peggy Bingham of Tampa, FL and seven grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, her parents and sisters, Ella Korell and Weinie Boone and a brother Fred Weiler, Jr. preceded her in death.
