Memorial
services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home. The
Rev. Scott Jones will officiate. Burial of ashes will be in the Grand
Island City Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Mrs. Werner was born July 5, 1947, at Grand Island to Dwayne and Louise (Barger)
Hayes.
Survivors of the immediate family include a son, Dan Werner of Grand Island;
a daughter, Tonya Dean of Lincoln; her mother of Grand Island; and a sister,
Mary Sargent of Phoenix.
Other survivors include four grandchildren, Jacob, Paden, Ian and Camden.
In addition to her husband, who died July 4, 2007, she was preceded in death
by her father and an infant brother.
Joyce was raised in Grand Island and graduated from GISH, Class of 1966.
She was united in marriage to Garry L. Werner on Dec. 24, 1966, in Grand Island,
where they lived following their marriage. She was employed by DreisbachÕs
for 25 years and was also employed by McCain Foods. Joyce enjoyed scrapbooking
and working on her computer.
