Colleen Marie O’Brien, 47, of Grand Island, formerly of Omaha,
died January 10, 2008 at St. Francis Medical Center.
Committal service and burial of her ashes will be on June 20 th, 2009
in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Omaha, NE.
There will be no visitation. All Faiths Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Colleen was born on September 11, 1961 in Omaha, the daughter of Robert and Patricia Jo (Lee) O’Brien.
Survivors are her father and his wife, Robert and Betty O’Brien; her twin sister, Maureen O’Brien, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Tammy O’Brien, Tim and Lori O’Brien, Daniel and Jennifer O’Brien, and Peter O’Brien; and her sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Tom DeBuse.
Other survivors include her many nieces, nephews and good friends, including Don Marshall, Monte Hanson, Connie O’Brien, Lori and Brian McMahon and Mary Meyer.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia O’Brien.
Colleen grew up in Omaha, attending Mercy High School “Class of 1980”. She moved to Grand Island in 1996. Colleen will be lovingly remembered for her generosity, her wonderful smile and never failing sense of humor. Colleen’s kind and loving spirit inspired what was lasting and real in all those she has touched. She was a special gift to this world. She was loved deeply by many and will be missed. Her love will be forever in the hearts of all those who knew her.
