E. Allison
Frances E. Allison, 86, of Grand
Island, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Golden Living Center at Lakeview.
Service will be 10:30
a.m. Tuesday at St. Stephen’s
Episcopal Church. The Reverend Dr. Charles Peek will officiate. Burial
of ashes will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Prairie Center Cemetery north of Kearney.
Visitation will be
from 5-7 p.m. Monday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Cremation will
take place following visitation.
Mrs. Allison was born June 14, 1923 in Buffalo County the daughter of Charles and Emma
(Herzog) Hein.
Survivors are her husband, Robert; daughter and son-in-law,
Debara and Michael Smith of Mandeville, LA and sisters,
Rose Joyce of Salem, OR and Doris Otley of San Francisco, CA.
Other survivors are a granddaughter, Erin Smith, great-granddaughter,
Michaella and nieces and nephews.
Frances moved to Kimball, NE with her family at an early age. She
graduated from Kimball High School. She
worked for the telephone company as an operator. She married Richard
Odbert on April 10, 1947. She worked as a bookkeeper for over 40
years.
On October 16, 1976
she was united in marriage to Robert Allison. Frances enjoyed raising flowers and
crocheting. She is a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal
Church, the churches St. Martha’s Guilt, serving as a treasurer
and volunteered in other areas of the church.
Her
parents; baby brother, Lawrence; brother’s
John and Charles; sisters, Cecilia Mayland, Josephine Maginnis and
Agnes Contant and a great-granddaughter welcomed her into heaven.
