Judith J. Christensen

Judith J. Christensen, 68, of Grand Island, NE died on December 1, 2009 at St. Francis Medical Center. 

Services will be at 10:30 Saturday, December 5 in the Gollaher Chapel of Trinity United Methodist Church. Reverend Jay Vetter will officiate.  Burial will be at the Grand Island City Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Christensen was born on September 6, 1941 at Omaha, NE, the daughter of Ralph and Ellen Mae (Irvine) Beberniss.

Survivors are her husband, Peter; sons and daughters-in-laws, Mitchell and Kristi Christensen of Grand Island, Joseph and Abby Christensen of Grand Island; daughter, Trinda Lundy of Grand Island; her mother, Ellen Mae Beberniss of Omaha, NE; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Doris Beberniss, Bill and Karen Beberniss, and Bob and Lorene Beberniss, all of Omaha, NE and sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Dick Doherty of Kansas City, MO.

Those also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Brooke, Cody, Dustin and Travis.  She was welcomed into heaven by her father.

Judith was raised and received her education in Omaha, graduating from Omaha North High School.

She was united in marriage to Peter Christensen on August 28, 1966 at Omaha.  They have lived in Grand Island since 1970.

She is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.  Judith enjoyed ceramics and the Christmas holiday season.  She especially loved spending time with her family.
