Roxy
R. Clark
Roxy R. Clark, 47, of Grand Island, died Tuesday,
September 8, 2009 as the result of an accident in Merrick County.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Third City Christian
Church, 4100 N. 13th Street. The minister will be Josh
Sikes.
There will be no visitation. At Mr. Clark’s
request, cremation has taken place. All Faiths Funeral Home is
serving the family.
Mr. Clark was born October 22, 1961 at Denver, CO
the son of Venneth and Phyllis (Stoltenberg) Clark.
Survivors are his wife, Lori; son, Rocky Clark; daughters,
Jade, Lacey and Kelsey Clark all of Grand Island; mother, Phyllis Clark
of Grand Island and sisters and brother-in-law, Vicky Jones of Phillips,
Debbie Smith of Broken Bow and Gina and Kent Kaiser of Grand Island.
Other survivors are nieces, nephews
and many friends. His
father; uncle, Jerry Stoltenberg and grandparents, Elmer and Maybelle
Stoltenberg preceded him in death.
Roxy graduated from Grand Island
Central Catholic, class of 1979. He married Lori Johnson on September
6, 1986 at Grand Island.
As a young man, Roxy worked for his
grandfather at Stoltenberg Cabinet Making. He later worked for Vans Electric and
Ensley Electric as a journeyman electrician. He worked in the Kirby
sales business, owned and operated Vac Mart and later became an auctioneer. Roxy
also was a licensed back flow inspector, was a paramedic for Woodburn
Ambulance Service and owned and operated Clark Auction Service. He
also owned a hay farm in Merrick County.
A memorial fund will be established in his memory.
