Erma
I. Clausen
Erma I. Clausen, 81, of Grand Island,
died Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Hamilton Manor in Aurora.
Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Doniphan. The Reverend
Rodney Armon will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at All Faiths
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Clausen was born September 14, 1928 at Grand Island the daughter
of Theodore and Emma (Reher) Buchfinck.
Survivors are her husband, Robert; daughter and son-in-law,
Coleen and Jim Fagan of Grand Island; sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth
Clausen of Grand Island and Curt and Desiree Clausen of Grimes, Iowa
and sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Wylie Rowan of Dallas,
Texas.
Other survivors are grandchildren, Chris Fagan, Erin
Linn, Kathy Clausen, Adam Clausen, Logan Clausen, Lindsey Clausen
and Zach Clausen and great-grandchildren, Connor and Carson Fagan
and Zoey Clausen.
Her
parents and sister, Dorothy Klingenberg welcomed her into heaven.
Erma was raised on a family farm northeast of Grand Island. She
attended School District 32 in Merrick County and Grand Island Senior High. On
October 16, 1949 she was united in marriage to Robert Clausen. Along
with her husband they farmed south of Grand
Island. Erma also worked at Wolbach’s,
the Liederkranz and Western Charloin.
She
is a member of St. Paul Lutheran of Doniphan where she taught Sunday
school. Erma enjoyed bowling, cooking and
visiting with others.

are suggested to the church, the Alzheimer’s
Association or to the family’s choice.
