"Monie" Monadaine
L. Dubas
“Monie” Monadine L. Dubas, 83, of Grand Island, died Tuesday,
October 13, 2009 at St. Francis Medical Center.
Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at All Faiths Funeral Home
Chapel. Dan Naranjo will officiate. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at All Faiths
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dubas was born April 30, 1926 at Grand Island the daughter
of Henry and Ruby (Burnette) Schoel.
Survivors are sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Nancy
Petzoldt and Robert and Wanda Petzoldt all of Grand
Island; her mother, Ruby Loop of Central City and brother
and sister-in-law, Ercel and Bernie Schoel of Oklahoma.
Other survivors are grandchildren, Buddy Petzoldt, Brian
Petzoldt, Brandon Petzoldt, Brittany Jimenez, Bonita Petzoldt, Venesa
Smith, Brandi Jessimen and Larry Lee Petzoldt, Jr. and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father; husbands, Arnold “Shorty” Allen
and Edward “Don” Dubas; son, Larry Lee Petzoldt; twin-sister,
Marcy Forst; sister, Dorothy Baker; brother George Schoel; special
aunt, Della Boltz and grandson, Travis Petzoldt.
Monie was raised in Grand Island graduating from Grand Island Senior
High, class of 1944. She was united in marriage to Alton Petzoldt,
Arnold Allen and Edward Dubas. She made Grand Island her home where she worked for Holiday Manufacturing
and was a waitress at the Oasis Bar and Grill.
She enjoyed playing cards, spending time at the Grand Generation Center and spending time with her grandchildren. She
loved helping others. Her memory will be treasured by many.
Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice.
