T. Fiehler
Marvin T. Fiehler, 72, of Grand Island, died Friday, January 9, 2009
at Golden Living Center at Lakeview.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21 st in
the All Faiths Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Island, NE. Pastor Kris Rebentisch
and Vicor Greg Enterline are officiating. Burial will be at a later date
in Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, NE.
There will be a gathering of friends and family at All Faiths Funeral
Home from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Fiehler was born March 4, 1936 at Frohna, MO, the son of George
and Oneida (Mangels) Fiehler.
Survivors of the immediate family include a daughter, Julie Fiehler
of Central City, NE; one sister, Dorthea (Leonard) Militzer of Altenburg,
MO; five brothers, Harlan and (Inez) Fiehler of Thebes, IL, George C.
and (Virginia) Fiehler of Juneau, Alaska, Raymond Fiehler of St. Louis,
MO, Elwin and (Jackie) Fiehler of Monrovia, CA and Edgar and (Martha)
Fiehler of Jackson, MO and a brother-in-law, Ralph Fiehler of St. Charles,
MO.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Helen Fiehler.
Marvin was raised and received his education in Missouri. He graduated
from Perryville High School in Perryville, MO. He entered the United
States Army on December 3, 1958 and was honorably discharged on November
17, 1960. During his life Marvin worked as a ranchhand on ranches near
Broken Bow, was in construction in North Platte and worked for Oakleaf
Auto Crushing in Grand Island. An important time in Marvin’s life,
were the 15 years he worked for Larry Donlin with racing thoroughbreds.
Marvin was of the Lutheran faith.
In lieu of flowers family requests that memorials are to the Trinity
Lutheran Church, 212 W. 12 th, Grand Island, NE, 68801
