Ann Frazier
Cynthia Ann Frazier, 82, of Wood River,
formerly of Cozad, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the Good
Samaritan Care Center in Wood River.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday at All Faiths
Funeral Home Chapel in Grand
Island. Dan Naranjo will officiate. Family
inurnment will be in the Kearney Cemetery.
Ann was born on June 28, 1927 in Salina, Kansas the daughter of Cynthia Elizabeth (Easterling)
Moore and Ralph Beckett Moore.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 60
years, James B. Frazier of Cozad; daughter and son-in-law, Becket
(Becky) and Bob Junker of Grand Island and daughter-in-law, Julie
Clinch Frazier of Bellevue, NE, grandchildren with precious memories
of their “Nanny”: Mathew (and Megan) Frazier of
Nolanville, TX; (Jeff and) Christina Frazier Prince of Lincoln; Brad
(and Staci) Junker of Lincoln; Dave (and Carrie) Junker of Omaha
and (Shane and) Katie Junker Edic of Lincoln. Ann was also
a great-grandmother of five: Benjamin and Ty Junker of Omaha;
Addison Edic and Brady Junker of Lincoln and Madelyn Frazier of Nolanville, TX.
She was raised and educated in Kearney, NE, graduating
from Kearney Senior
High School in 1945. She was united
in marriage to James B. Frazier on January 10, 1947, in Kearney, NE. They lived for a brief time in both Denver, CO,
and Scottsbluff, NE, before making their permanent home in Cozad,
where they owned and operated Frazier’s Jewelry together. She
was a member of the Parkview United Methodist Church. As a mother, Ann promoted
her son’s involvement in the Boy Scouts of America from Cub
through Eagle Scouts and was an advocate of Brownies, 4-H, and other
activities with her daughter. She also actively pursued family
history with local friends and a host of family members throughout
the United States who
were also involved in the love of genealogy.
An avid reader, she included creative endeavors among
her numerous other interests, which included sewing, decorating,
and collecting antiques. Ann was the ‘curator’ of
specially chosen teddy bears and some vintage dolls. Above
all, Ann loved just being at home. Her parents, grandparents
and beloved son, James Brian Frazier welcomed her into heaven.
Prior to living at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in
Wood River, Ann was a resident at Country House in Grand Island. Contributions
in Ann’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association
or to Asera Care Hospice.
