Isabelle
Juel
Isabelle Juel, 92, of Grand Island,
died November 15, 2009 at Phoenix, Arizona.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at All Faiths
Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Thomas Dowd will officiate. Her
ashes will be placed in the mausoleum at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Juel was born December 7, 1916 at Farwell, Nebraska the daughter of James and Helen (Bydalek)
Holechek.
Her husband James Juel preceded her in death.
Survivors are her brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and
Dorothy Holechek of Sun
City, Arizona;
niece and longtime caregiver, Sharon Diller and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death
by her parents; brothers, Alfred, Edwin, Edward and Johnny Holechek
and sisters, Evelyn Anderson, Leona Shrum, Marie Kinney and Helen
Miller.
Isabelle was raised on the family farm near Farwell where
she attended school graduating from Farwell High School. She
was united in marriage to James Louis Juel on August 19, 1935 at Omaha. The couple lived at Farwell where
they owned and operated a service station in the early 1960’s. Later
Isabelle was employed by Dreisbach’s for 45 years.
Isabelle was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral Church. She enjoyed playing cards,
doing crafts and growing flowers. Her memory will be cherished
by many.
