D. Mullen
Eva D. Mullen, 75, of Grand Island, died Tuesday, September 08, 2009
at the Grand Island Nebraska Veterans Home.
Service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the St. Stephens
Episcopal Church. Dr. Charles Peek will officiate. Burial
will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at All Faiths
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mullen was born May 7, 1934 at Austin, Texas the daughter of Frank and Gladys (Collins)
Larvin.
Her husband James G. Mullen died in 2003.
Survivors are daughter, Laurie Amsberry and her special
friend Roger Benson of Grand Island; son, Tracy Mullen of Phillips
and brothers and sister-in-law, Frank (Jimmy) Larvin of Weatherford,
TX, Tommy and Bea Larvin of Smithville, TX and Billy Larvin of Austin,
TX.
Other survivors are grandchildren, Courteney and her
husband Steve Meyer and Tyler Crumrine and great-grandchildren, Sydnee
and Brody Meyer and Marissa and Ashley Crumrine.
Her parents, husband, great-grandchild, Bailey Crumrine
welcomed her into heaven.
Eva was raised in Austin where she graduated from high school. She
also graduated from Business College. On June 29, 1956, she was
united in marriage to James G. Mullen. Following her husband’s
retirement from the United States Air Force they retired in Grand Island in 1970. Eva worked at Grand
Island Typewriter and Bost Pharmacy as a bookkeeper. She retired
to spend time with her grandchildren.
She is a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church, VFW
Auxiliary, and loved gardening, baking, sewing and especially spending
time with family.
