Jeannine Joyce Paro

Jeannine Joyce Paro, 80, of Grand Island, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at St. Francis Medical Center..

Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Gollaher Chapel of Trinity United Methodist Church.  The Reverend Melanie Adams will officiate.  Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

 Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home.

Mrs. Paro was born March 17, 1929 at Grand Island the daughter of Clarence and Mary (Vineyard) Guyette.

Survivors are her husband George; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Karla Paro of Grand Island and daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Gene Pharaoh of Grand Island.

Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Cody Paro, Cassie Uhrich, Kelly Paro and Wilma Nichols; great-grandchildren, Dustin, Xander, Zoe, Keyden and Rylen; step-mother, Dolores Guyette of Grand Island; sister-in-law and her husband, Bonnie and Melvin Kutschkau of Fullerton; brother-in-law, Bill Paro of Plattsmouth and sister-in-law, Donna Guyette of Grand Island.

Her parents; brother, Bill Guyette; grandson, Josh Perry and infant grandson, Jacque Paro welcomed her into heaven.

Jeannine was raised in Grand Island graduating from Grand Island Senior High.  She was united in marriage to George R. Paro on November 14, 1948.  They made their home in Grand Island where she worked as a bookkeeper for Cargill Seed Company and Grand Island Typewriter.  She also enjoyed being a homemaker.

She is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.  Jeannine enjoyed riding her own motor cycle belonging to riding groups; loved to dance, enjoyed crafts, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.  She was proud to be of Irish heritage and was known as Lady Shamrock on the CB.  Her memory will be treasured by many.
