Maxine Pegg

Service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at All Faiths Funeral Home.  The Reverend Jay Vetter will officiate.  Burial will be in the Grand Island Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service.

Mrs. Pegg was born May 15, 1915 at Peru, NE to John and Anna Veronica (Myers) Saduski. In 1918 the family moved to St. Paul, NE. Mrs. Pegg received her education in the St. Paul schools, graduating from St. Paul High School in 1932. After graduation, she worked as a secretary in St. Paul, Grand Island and Omaha.

On May 3, 1937, she married Robert Pegg of Grand Island, where they made their home.

Mrs. Pegg enjoyed music, dancing, traveling and was an avid reader. She was a long-time volunteer at Stuhr Museum, the Bloodmobile and St. Francis Hospital. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband. Memorials are suggested to the church, Stuhr Museum or the Grand Island Public Library.

She is survived by a son David of Santa Clara, CA, three grandchildren: Lisa of Los Gatos, CA, Holly and Trevor, and a great-granddaughter Leah, all of San Jose, CA.
