Clayton B. Schofield
Clayton B. Schofield, Jr., 57, of Rising City, NE, died Friday, October 16, 2009 at Grand Island Veterans Administration Medical Center, Grand Island, NE.
Memorial Service will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Rising City Cemetery. The Reverend Paul Welch will officiate. Military honors will be provided by Columbus American Legion. All Faiths Funeral Home of Grand Island is serving the family.
Clayton was born October 6, 1952 at McCook, NE, the son of Clayton, Sr. and Violet (Allen) Schofield.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janice Schofield; three sons, Jacob Bruno, Michael Schofield and Clayton Schofield, III, all of Baldwin City, KS; five step children, Chad, Wayne and Russ Edmonds and Nick and Dagan Walters, all of Lawrence, KS; his mother, Violet Schofield and a sister, Ada Johnston of Missouri.
Other survivors include many grandchildren.
Clayton was preceded in death by his father, Clayton, Sr. and a son, Casey Cleavenger.
Clayton grew up and received his education at Kansas City, MO. He served in the United States Air Force. He was united in marriage to Janice Rae Jones on February 13, 2000.
