He is preceded in death by his parents.

Don grew up and attended school in Sioux Falls, SD.  He graduated from Sioux Falls University.  Don entered the United States Army in 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1957. He was united in marriage to Judy on April 26, 1969 and the couple celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this year.

He was employed at the General Adjustment Bureau during and after college. He was employed at Mid Plains Center for over 20 years as Business Manager.  Later, Don enjoyed cashiering at Mr. G’s Car Care Center.  He loved being a member of Christ Lutheran Church, where he had been Financial Secretary and enjoyed ushering.

Don and Judy were dedicated to each other.  They played Scrabble daily and worked together in their yard.  Don dabbled in art work and spent countless hours throughout the years making decorations for his children’s school activities.  He also designed stationery logos and was quite the handyman around the home. In his early years he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was always kind, considerate, honest and helpful to everyone along the way.

Memorials are suggested to Christ Lutheran Church.
