‘Bud’ Elmer
A. Thesenvitz, 88, of rural Wood River, died Saturday, August 1, 2009
at Good Samaritan Center in Wood River.
Graveside
service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Dan
Naranjo will officiate.
There
will be no visitation. All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the
family.
Mr.
Thesenvitz was born September 2, 1920 at Wood River the son of Charles
and Emma (Stange) Thesenvitz.
His
wife Anita preceded him in death on July 11, 2007.
Survivors
are his daughter and son-in-law, Robyn Couch and Bill Guckert of Lakewood,
Colorado; son , Terry Thesenvitz of Missouri; brother and sister-in-law,
Glenn and Sharlene Thesenvitz of Richland, Washington and sister, Olive
Duval of Los Angeles, California.
He
is also survived by granddaughter, Stacie Davis and many other relatives
and friends.
In
addition to his wife he is preceded by his parents and a sister, Ruby
Luebbe.
Bud
was raised on a family farm near Wood River and received his education
and graduated from Wood River. He was united in marriage to Anita
L. Roach on November 14, 1943. He farmed all of his life on the
family farm.
He
was a member of the Eagles, serving as past president; the Platt-Duetsche
and was active in various Masonic organizations. Bud was an original
stock holder at Fonner Park.
Memorials
are suggested to the Central Nebraska Humane Society.
