"Jim" Badorek
James “Jim” Badorek, 59, of Grand Island, died Friday February 12, 2010, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at All Faiths Funeral Home Chapel. There will be no burial as the family is honoring his wish for cremation.
A memorial gathering will be one hour prior to service.
Mr. Badorek was born on November 22, 1950 at Peoria, IL the son of Jack and Betty (Thomas) Badorek.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Sonja; brothers, Jay and Jeff Badorek of Lincoln; sister and brother-in-law, Jone and Matt Johnson of Lincoln; brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Marlene Johnson of Atkinson, NE.
Other survivors include his parent-in-laws, Dick and LaDonna Johnson of Albion; aunt, Shirley Blaze of Central City, along with nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Jim served his country in the Army. While in duty, he served in the Vietnam War. He was united in marriage to Sonja Johnson on May 14, 1983. Following there marriage they made Grand Island there home.
