James "Jim" Foster

James “Jim” Foster, 64, of Grand Island died Tuesday January 26, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life will be Friday January 29, 2010 at All Faiths Funeral Home from 3 to 5 pm. Chaplain Steve Schanno will officiate.

There will be no visitation as the family is honoring his wish for cremation.

James was born October 25, 1945 at Grand Island, the son of Wayne Marjorie (Newlon) Foster.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carol of 42 years; son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Amber Foster of Doniphan, NE; daughter, Jennifer Foster of Olathe, KS; 2 grandchildren, Christopher and Xander Foster.

He was welcomed into heaven by his parents and brother, Wayne Jr.

James grew up in rural Doniphan, receiving his high school education from Grand Island Senior High. He continued his education at Kearney State College and received his Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and Accounting from Hastings Community College.

He was a member of the Doniphan United Methodist Church. James loved a night of bowling. He also enjoyed golfing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
