Michael T. George

Michael T. George, 58, of Grand Island died Monday, January 25, 2010, at Lincoln, NE.

Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, at First United Methodist Church in Grand Island. The Reverend Bev Lanzendorf will officiate. Burial of ashes will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.

All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family.

There will be no visitation.

Michael was born December 13, 1951 at Camden, NJ, the son of Theodore and Jean (Plummer) George.
Those left to cherish his memory are his father and step-mother, Ted and Imogene George of Grand Island; daughter, Valerie George of Jacksonville, FL; son, Michael W. George of Hastings; brothers, Robert George of Layton, UT and Randy George of Denton, TX; and sister, Sheri Kelley of Hastings.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean George, brother-in-law, Dennis Kelley and sister-in-law, Linda George.

Michael received his high school education from Northwest High School in Grand Island. He served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged on September 3, 1970. Michael loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.
