LaVeta Kay Journey, 45, of Grand Island, died Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Saint Francis Medical Center.
Cremation has taken place in honor of LaVeta’s wishes. Burial of ashes will be at a later date. All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family. There will be no visitation.
LaVeta was born on July 14, 1964 at Kearney, NE, the daughter of Chester and Shirley (Mowrey) Wentz.
She is survived by family and numerous friends, including special friend, Carey Kutschkau.
LaVeta was fondly known as ‘Velvetta’ by her close friends. She enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers and stuffed animals and loved to play bingo.
