Jim K. Nees

Jim K. Nees, 65, of Alda, NE, died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Saint Francis Medical Center.

Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in All Faiths Funeral Home Chapel.  Cremation has taken place according to Jim’s wishes.  Dan Naranjo will officiate.  Burial of ashes will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-7 on Wednesday at All Faiths Funeral Home.

Jim was born on April 14, 1944 at Jewell, KS, the son of Fred and Etta (Fields) Nees.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Linda; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberley and Elmer Drugsvold of Creighton, NE; sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis and Nick Boden of Mankato, KS, Patsy and Ed Sims of Superior, NE and Shelby Johnson of Mankato.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley and Matt, Chasitie, and Emilie and his faithful four-legged companion, ‘Kuddles’.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Beatrice Clouse and Fern Larson and brother, Carl Nees.

Jim grew up at Jewell, KS, and attended high school there.  He was united in marriage to Linda Urwin on March 14, 1968 at Hastings.  The couple eventually settled in Alda, NE.

Jim held various employment including driving a bus for United Motorways and working for Hall County Sheriffs Department.  He was a past member of the Eagles.  Jim was a handyman and had a knack for embroidery.  However, his greatest enjoyment was his grandchildren.
