Janet G. Schneider, 75, of Grand Island died on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at home after a battle with cancer. Her family was by her side.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 17 at
All Faiths Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Island with Pastor Steve Shanno
officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time
of service. Cremation was chosen and there will be no viewing.
She was born November 19, 1934, in Hawarden, IA, the daughter of Lloyd E. and Brynece Swift Anderson. Her family relocated to Decatur, NE in 1948 where she attended Decatur Public School.
She married Richard D. Schneider on April 2, 1953. They began their life together in Decatur and lived in several towns in Nebraska and Colorado.
She is survived by her husband Dick, a son and daughter in law Rick and Carol Schneider of Denver; and a daughter and son in law Jan Dee and Rick Bauer of Cheyenne, WY.
Those also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren and their spouses, Jason and Stephanie Bauer of Grand Island and Lindsay and Ashley Schneider of Denver; two great grandsons, Cole and Noah Bauer and other relatives and a host of friends.
Janet loved entertaining and having fun with family and friends.
