Elaine Linda Boldt, 90, of Grand Island, died Wednesday, November 02, 2011 at Tiffany Square.
Service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church. Reverend
William Pavuk will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial
Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home.
Elaine was born December 30, 1920, in rural Hall County, the daughter of Bernhardt and Minnie (Wiese) Roby.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children and their spouses, Val Jean and Roger Berney of Fremont, Carol and Robert Harrie of Grand Island and Dean and Rebecca Boldt of Parkville, Missouri.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Michele Higgins, Jeffrey Berney, Tara Brakke, Jason Harrie, Dustin Harrie, Brock Boldt and Jeremiah Boldt; and eight great grandchildren, Kathryn Higgins, Garrett Higgins, Jackson Berney, Alexa Berney, Brooklyn Berney, Ryan Brakke, Brody Brakke and Roddick Brakke.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Boldt, on October 3, 1978; her parents; sister, Irene Spiehs and brother, Leo Roby.
Elaine grew up on the family farm and attended country schools. She was united in marriage to Charles Peter Boldt on February 8, 1942.
She was a member of St Pauls Lutheran Church, the Platt Duetsch and Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed the outdoors and in her later years, loved to embroider.
