Jeri L. Evans, 41 of Hastings, formerly of Grand Island, died Monday, November 14, 2011 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Clarkson Hall due to a short illness with her family by her side.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island. Burial of ashes will be at a later date.
To honor Jeri’s wishes there will be no additional services.
Jeri was born on July 5, 1970 in Grand Island, NE to Richard (Dick) and Gloria Jean (Buchanan) Evans. Jeri attended school in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High School class of 1989.
She is survived by her mother, Gloria Evans; brother, Ross Evans; sisters, Dana (Roger) Benson; Dawn Luther; Jill (Mark) Janssen and Rene (Larry) Thompson.
She is also survived by Gail, Reon and Russell Benson; Donnie, Charity and Amber Luther; and Rylee Washington, Ian and Jade Thompson and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard (Dick) Evans, grandparents, Doris and Wirth Wilson and Richard and Anna Evans.
Jeri loved spending time with her family, going to her sister's farm, all sports, music and especially art. Jeri loved all kinds of art and was always creating something.
