W. "Dick" Kluna
Richard W. ‘Dick’ Kluna,
70, of Grand Island died Monday, January 3, 2011, at St. Francis Medical
Center with his family by his side.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Trinity United Methodist
Church. The Reverend Melanie Adams will officiate. To honor his wishes,
cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at Trinity United
Methodist Church.
All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family.
Dick was born on August 7, 1940 at Ord, Nebraska the son of William
and Anna (Borovka) Kluna. He attended Ord High School. Dick was united
in marriage to Delores Burson in June of 1959 and to this union two sons
were born. He later married Leona Schnase in January of 1964 and to this
union one daughter and one son were born.
Dick owned and operated a Saw Mill in Central City for 15 years. He
was a member of the Trinity United Methodist church and the Tops Club
NE # 7. Dick enjoyed playing cards, bowling, his dog Buffy and especially
loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons and daughter-in-law,
Dan Kluna of Cairo, Tim and Katrina Kluna and Robert Kluna both of Grand
Island; a daughter Rebecca Smith of Grand Island.
Those also left to cherish his memory are a sister, Dorothy Keller
of Ord; 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 nephews and 3 nieces.
He was welcomed into heaven by his parents and brother-in-law Doyle.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family.
