Jane (Harder) Spath
Darlene Jane (Harder) Spath, 79, of Grand Island, passed away Friday,
March 18, 2011, at the Park Place Golden Living Center in Grand Island.
To honor Darlene’s wishes there will be no service or visitation.
Her body has been donated to the Nebraska Anatomical Board.
All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family.
Darlene was born on October 15, 1931 at Grand Island, the daughter
of John and Nellie (Penner) Harder. She grew up in the Grand Island and
attended Grand Island Senior High School except one year that they moved
to Denver, Colorado where she attended the eighth grade. She was baptized
at the First Christian Church at Grand Island, April 13, 1941.
Darlene married Loren Spath on July 8, 1950. During their married life,
they lived at Grand Island, Colorado, California and Nevada. Her husband
Loren passed away November 22, 1985. They had no children. Those left
to cherish her memory include her sister, Kathryn (Wallace) Johnson of
Grand Island; brother, Robert (Dottie) Harder of Brush Prairie, WA and
numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; brother and sister-in-law,
Harold ( Beverly) Harder.
In Lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s
Association or to the National Parkinson’s Foundation.
