'Kathy' Sperling
Helen ‘Kathy’ Sperling, 53, of Grand Island died Friday,
November 25, 2011at the St. Francis Skilled Nursing
Center.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, at the First Presbyterian Church
in Grand Island. The Reverend Caroline Price-Gibson will officiate. Burial will
be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family.
Kathy was born July 18, 1958, at Dixon, IL to Harold and Gladys Marie (Harris) Onwiler. She was raised in various towns across Nebraska, making her home in Grand Island. Marcy graduated from Franklin High School in 1976. She married Melvin Sperling on April 1, 1984 at Grand Island. Kathy was a florist with Williams Floral. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Melvin; son and daughter-in-law, Dustin (Jill) Sperling; daughters and son-in-law, Alicia Sperling and Angela (Joe) Maltese; sister and brother-in-law, Mary (Tony) Hellbusch; brothers and
sisters in law, Douglas (Florie) Onwiler, Daniel (Tammy) Onwiler, and Donald (Peggy) Onwiler; and 7 grandchildren.
She was welcomed into heaven by her mother Gladys; and her parents.
