David M. Fisher,
45 of Grand Island died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at St.
Francis Medical Center.
Celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday
at All Faiths Funeral Home. Dan Naranjo will officiate. Burial
of ashes will be in the Grand
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken
Mr. Fisher was born on June 22, 1966, in Grand Island to Henry David
and Yvonne (Wiles) Fisher.
Survivors include his mother, Yvonne “Bonnie” Fisher
of Grand Island; aunt, Cheryl Dubbs of North Bend, and cousins Kevin
Dubbs, Brian Dubbs, Danny and Stephanie Dubbs, Shannon and Rob Krueger,
Kathleen Marino, Patricia Marino, Karen Elizalde, Marsha and Randy
Stratman, Linda Conway, Scott Worth and a special friend, Adrienne
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents,
Milton and Gertrude Wiles, and Henry and Lillian Fisher and four
aunts and three uncles and two cousins.
At the age of three months David traveled to the island of Guam with his mother joining his dad at the Naval Air
Station, returning to Grand
Island two years later. He attended
Gates Elementary, Barr Junior High and graduated from Grand Island
Senior High. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Denver and his Juris Doctorate at the University
of Nebraska Law School.
He lived in Connecticut for several years where he was
an Assistant Attorney for the Superior Court in New Brittan, CT and
later as an attorney for Binder and Binder Law Firm of New York City.
David especially enjoyed trains, Yankee Baseball, and
was a history buff. He loved to travel having traveled to London, Paris, Switzerland and
other countries, and many cities in the United States.
Memorials are suggested to Central Nebraska Humane Society
or to the donor’s choice.
