Lucille Muller, 92 of Grand Island, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Reverend
Donna Carpenter will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5 to7 p.m. Thursday at All Faiths Funeral Home.
Lucille was born September 10, 1919 at Grand Island, NE the daughter of Albert and Edna (Detamore) Linden.
She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Jan and Gene Penrose of Grand Island; two grandchildren, Mike (Kim) Penrose of Grand Island and Kelli Penrose, of St. Cloud, MN; and two great grandchildren, Skylar and Taylor Penrose.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Louie; her parents; and two brothers, Hubert and Elmer Linden.
Lucille grew up on a farm in the Giltner area and graduated from Giltner High School with the class of 1937. She married her husband Louie at Omaha on March 24, 1942. They made their home on the farm near Chapman.
She was a member of the Chapman United Methodist Church, the Sunshine Extension Club, and the United Methodist Women. Lucille also enjoyed playing cards, husker football, and the fellowship of her church. She was also very fond of her memories growing up on the farm.
