Bruce B. Noble

Bruce B. Noble, 63, of Grand Island, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.

Bruce B. NobleService will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 23 at All Faiths Funeral Home. The Reverend Lonnie Logan will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home.

Bruce was born on May 9, 1948 at Lexington, NE, the son of Marcus “Ed” and Lena (Schwarz) Noble.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sherryl; his sons, Troy Olsen of Mission, KS and Bruce A. Noble of Hastings.

Those also left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Leo and Elaine Noble of Potter, NE and Milford and Gerry Noble of Elwood, NE; and sisters, Noreen Bownes and her significant other, Dan Cox of Omaha, and Sheron and Duane Lenning of Peyton, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bruce was preceded in death by his Parents; sesters, Delores Bihlmaier and Rosemary Brown; and a step-daughter, Kimberly Olsen.

He grew up in Lexington where he received his education up to the 11 th grade. His family moved to Wahoo, NE where he graduated High School in 1967. Bruce joined the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and served from April 10, 1967 to May 23, 1970. He worked as a painter in Grand Island for 15 years, later working as an Environmental Management Specialist at the V.A. Hospital in Grand Island until his retirement.

Bruce was an avid leather worker and enjoyed to play cards with friends, going fishing and camping with family. He also loved to dance to Mike Niclolen and the Lost Sidemen.

He is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the American Legion.
